I work with people facing a range of life challenges, with a particular interest in supporting those going through life transitions. This may include career changes or self-employment, relationship and family changes, becoming a parent (matrescence), receiving a diagnosis (including neurodiversity), balancing work-family responsibilities, or coping with loss. I have lived experience of all of these things.
These moments can raise deeper questions about identity, relationships and direction in life. Therapy offers a space to reflect, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and find a way forward with a greater sense of ease.
In our first sessions we will explore what is bringing you to therapy and what you would like to change or understand more clearly. Together we will agree the focus of our work and review progress regularly as therapy develops.

My core model is Transactional Analysis (TA), which offers practical ways to understand patterns in how we think, feel and relate to others. I also work integratively, drawing on other approaches & tools.
Above all, I offer a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to explore what matters to you and how we can bring more ease into your life.
Starting therapy can feel daunting, especially if you’re not sure where to begin. You don’t need to have everything figured out. If something here resonates with you, please feel free to reach out and we can arrange an initial conversation to see if working together feels right.
I am a qualified Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, soon to qualify as a Psychotherapist. I have three years' counselling experience in a charity setting in Byker, Newcastle, where I run a counselling service for people who otherwise would struggle to access therapy.
Alongside this, I bring 20 years' experience as a health researcher, listening carefully to people's experiences and what helps improve wellbeing. I remain actively involved in ongoing research studies, specialising in mental health.
I have completed higher education in Medical Science, Psychology and Psychotherapy.
My private sessions are usually at the Spetchells library in Prudhoe, Northumberland. I can also work in nearby Hexham.
I offer online therapy via a secure web platform.
My fee is £50 per session. You can pay as you go or choose to pay for a block of six sessions if you prefer. I also offer a small number of reduced-fee spaces for students or those on lower incomes. Please feel free to reach out for availability.
I can also come into organisations to deliver psychoeducation training - please contact me for more details.
